KEENON Robotics Steps into Humanoid Arena with XMAN-R1, Expands Cleaning Line
KEENON Robotics, a company primarily known for its autonomous service robots in hospitality and delivery, has announced its entry into the humanoid robot space with the introduction of the XMAN-R1. Alongside the humanoid, the company also unveiled three new additions to its KLEENBOT cleaning robot series: the C20, C40, and C55.
The announcement signals KEENON's ambition to create a more diverse portfolio of robotic solutions capable of operating across various commercial environments. While details on the XMAN-R1 remain somewhat limited, the company positions it as a robot designed for human interaction and collaboration with other KEENON machines.
XMAN-R1: A Humanoid for Service Collaboration
According to KEENON's press release, the XMAN-R1 is engineered to work alongside its existing fleet, including the DINERBOT T10 delivery robot, the KLEENBOT C30 cleaner, and the S100 service platform. The stated goal is to enhance task coordination and broaden service applications in commercial settings.
KEENON notes that ongoing development will focus on intelligent learning and task optimization for the XMAN-R1, aiming to improve its coordination capabilities and adaptability. However, specific details regarding the robot's physical capabilities, level of autonomy, manipulation skills, or timelines for deployment were not provided in the initial announcement. The introduction marks KEENON's first public step into the increasingly competitive, and technically challenging, field of humanoid robotics.

Complementing the humanoid announcement, KEENON significantly expanded its cleaning robot lineup with three new models targeting different environment sizes:
- KLEENBOT C20: Designed for compact spaces like convenience stores or offices, featuring a slim 35cm body and a dual-tank system for separating clean and dirty water. It incorporates a modular design for easier maintenance.
- KLEENBOT C40: Aimed at small-to-medium commercial areas, this model has a 65cm minimum pass-through width and a 40cm scrubbing/vacuuming width. It features a triple-brush system for sweeping, scrubbing, and drying in one pass and uses 10 sensors for navigation. Maintenance is facilitated by quick swaps for the dust box and water tank.
- KLEENBOT C55: Built for larger venues such as malls or airports, the C55 offers a 55cm cleaning width and a larger water tank. It includes the triple-brush system, supports multi-robot collaboration, and features automatic recharging and task resumption.
These additions transform the KLEENBOT series into what KEENON calls a "comprehensive, all-scenario lineup," aiming to provide automated cleaning solutions tailored to specific spatial requirements.
Expanding the Ecosystem
With the XMAN-R1 and the expanded KLEENBOT range, KEENON is clearly moving towards offering a broader suite of automated solutions for industries like retail, hospitality, healthcare, and logistics. While the cleaning bots represent a more direct evolution of existing autonomous mobile robot (AMR) technology, the humanoid XMAN-R1 venture places KEENON alongside other robotics companies exploring the potential, and significant hurdles, of human-like form factors in service roles. How effectively the XMAN-R1 integrates and performs in real-world commercial environments remains to be seen.
