Agility Robotics has released a new video showing its humanoid robot, Digit, autonomously picking up a shopping basket and various items in a lab setting. The company states this is achieved through a whole-body controller trained in simulation, enabling Digit to handle new objects and environments.

Agility Robotics announced significant upgrades for its humanoid robot, Digit, focusing on improved battery life (up to 4 hrs), autonomous charging, enhanced safety features (CAT1 stop, FSoE), and new manipulators. A key development is integration with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) via the Agility Arc platform, allowing Digit to dispatch and collaborate with AMRs from companies like MiR and Zebra, aiming to bridge automation gaps in warehouses.

Agility Robotics, maker of the Digit humanoid robot, is reportedly closing a $400 million funding round led by WP Global. The investment aims to help the company scale production at its Oregon facility, targeting the logistics and warehouse market amidst growing competition in the humanoid robotics space.
