What the company builds
Deep Robotics, registered in Chinese as Yunshenchu Technology, develops legged and wheeled-legged robots for industrial inspection, utilities work and emergency response. Its established line is the Jueying quadruped family, including the industrial X30 and the lighter Lite3, alongside the Lynx M20 wheeled-legged platform and J-series joint modules sold as components. The company markets the Lynx M20 for power inspection, emergency response, logistics and scientific exploration, and has shown X30 and Lynx M20 units used for firefighting reconnaissance ahead of human crews. Its bipedal entry, the DR02, was announced in October 2025.
The DR02
Deep Robotics positions the DR02 on ruggedness rather than dexterity, presenting it as the first humanoid with an IP66 rating. Published specifications give a 175 cm frame weighing 65 kg with battery, 31 degrees of freedom (six per leg, seven per arm, three at the waist), a 1.5 m/s standard walking speed with a 4 m/s maximum, and modular quick-detach limbs. Demonstrations since launch have been incremental and outdoors: a June 2026 video showed the robot running on uneven ground, clearing obstacles and carrying a fire extinguisher, and a video published on 13 August 2026 showed a single-take ascent of an outdoor staircase.
Financials and traction
The STAR Market prospectus is the clearest view of the business. Revenue rose from CNY 50.11 million in 2023 to CNY 103 million in 2024 and CNY 337 million in 2025, a compound growth rate of 159.51 percent, and 2025 produced a first net profit of CNY 28.68 million against a CNY 13.3 million loss in 2024. Gross margin widened from 33.48 percent to 52.83 percent, R&D spending was CNY 84.3 million, or about a quarter of revenue, and overseas sales were roughly CNY 61 million, a little over 18 percent of the total. Embodied-intelligence robots accounted for 95.69 percent of main business revenue, with industry applications at 79.33 percent; the company produced 3,936 units in 2025 at a 73.88 percent sell-through rate. State Grid has ranked among its top five customers for several years.
The listing and the competitive picture
The Shanghai Stock Exchange accepted the filing on 18 May 2026 for a raise of CNY 2.503 billion; the review moved to the inquiry stage on 27 May, and the company published its first-round response, covering 15 questions, on 7 August 2026. Chinese analysts derive an implied pre-IPO valuation near CNY 13.9 billion, about 41 times 2025 sales, above the multiple implied for Unitree, which priced its own STAR listing at CNY 150.8 per share for a valuation near CNY 61 billion. The prospectus places Unitree, Deep Robotics and Boston Dynamics as the leaders in quadruped and wheel-legged systems while describing humanoids as still exploratory, with Unitree, AgiBot and UBTECH having shipped more than a thousand units each. Recent policy adds risk to the export side: in late July 2026 the US FCC added foreign-made humanoid and quadruped robots to its Covered List, blocking new authorizations.
