Unitree shares jumped 16.15% to ¥495.92 on October 19, as Chinese robotics stocks rallied and Beijing published new support for bringing embodied AI into commerce. The move comes three days before Unitree’s planned physical AI and partner conference in Hangzhou.
- Unitree closed at ¥495.92, up 16.15%, after reaching an intraday high of ¥508.99.
- New Chinese government guidance calls for more robot products and embodied AI applications in household services and commercial logistics.
- Unitree’s October 22 conference provides another near-term event to watch, but the share-price move is not evidence of new orders.
A sharp rebound
Historical trading data from Investing.com shows Unitree, listed in Shanghai under ticker 688836, gaining ¥68.94 from Friday’s ¥426.98 close. Friday itself had brought a 5.40% increase, following a decline on Thursday.
The rally extended beyond Unitree. 21st Century Business Herald, carried by Sina Finance, reported gains across humanoid-related stocks, including limit-up moves for several suppliers. Its report described Unitree’s intraday advance as its strongest since its August listing day.
Policy turns toward applications
The guidance published by China’s Ministry of Commerce and eight other departments on October 19 explicitly includes robots among the smart products whose supply should expand. It also calls for embodied intelligence to be applied in household services and commercial logistics, alongside support for intelligent warehousing and delivery equipment.

An October 22 event to watch
The same Business Herald report points to Unitree’s World Physical AI Conference and Partner Ecosystem Conference, scheduled for October 22 at Hangzhou International Expo Center. The event is intended to focus on physical AI and embodied-intelligence applications.
Unitree has also recently introduced UniUni, its robot swarm choreography and monitoring system. Monday’s rebound shows renewed investor interest; translating that interest into sustained business growth is a separate test.
