BERLIN, Germany — Fresh off opening the continent’s first mass-production facility in Serbia, Shanghai-based robotics developer AGIBOT is accelerating its European commercial strategy. At IFA 2026 in Berlin, the company mounted a comprehensive demonstration of its multi-tier hardware portfolio, while detailing crucial compliance certifications and a commercial alliance aimed at expanding its regional operational reach.

The showcase at Messe Berlin signals that AGIBOT’s continental ambitions are quickly moving from production announcements to local commercial groundwork, combining technical compliance with regional channel distribution.

Multi-Robot Lineup on Display

Anchoring AGIBOT’s booth is the AGIBOT A3, a 173-centimeter, 55-kilogram full-size humanoid designed to tackle multi-domain tasks across retail assistance, industrial support, and commercial environments. The third-generation biped incorporates hot-swappable batteries, multimodal natural-language interaction, and fleet coordination routines.

Alongside the A3, AGIBOT placed its more agile X2 Ultra platform onto IFA’s public “Robots on the Runway” program to demonstrate fluid gait locomotion and entertainment interaction. The platform previously underscored its mobility credentials by winning track events at the World Humanoid Robot Games.

Beyond bipedal showpieces, the exhibit reflects AGIBOT’s pragmatic multi-form hardware matrix:

  • AGIBOT C5: Autonomous commercial cleaning and floor maintenance platforms.
  • D Series: Quadrupedal systems tailored for facility patrol, site inspection, and perimeter security.
  • OmniHand: Dexterous five-finger robotic end-effectors conducting interactive manipulation tasks.

Tackling European Compliance: TÜV Rheinland

For foreign robotics manufacturers, the primary obstacle to European adoption is often not dynamic mobility, but stringent regulatory compliance. AGIBOT addressed this head-on by confirming that the AGIBOT A3 Ultra has been awarded RED DA, RED NB, and Safety AK certifications from German testing giant TÜV Rheinland.

The compliance milestone establishes critical CE-mark conformity under the European Union’s Radio Equipment Directive (RED) alongside rigorous functional safety standards. AGIBOT confirmed that its broader product matrix—including the A2, X2, G2, C5, and D1 Max Pro quadruped—has also been subjected to joint testing protocols with TÜV Rheinland.

Securing institutional safety certifications provides enterprise customers with regulatory cover to deploy these platforms in shared human-robot spaces, an essential prerequisite as Western standards bodies evaluate foreign autonomous hardware.

Regional Distribution via Tekpoint

Alongside safety certifications, AGIBOT announced a commercial partnership with European distribution specialist Tekpoint.

The collaboration is aimed squarely at service and commercial automation niches. While industrial deployments in automotive plants require long integration cycles, service settings—such as front-of-house retail assistance, hospitality concierge, and light commercial cleaning—offer faster pathways to recurring revenue. Tekpoint’s established logistics pipelines and localized market access provide AGIBOT with a direct route into regional storefronts, corporate facilities, and hospitality venues.

The focus on service robotics aligns with broader industry utilization figures. While industrial manufacturing remains the marquee goal, recent market data indicates that service, retail guidance, and commercial demonstrations continue to represent a significant share of global humanoid shipments.

Connecting Factory Floors to Continental Storefronts

AGIBOT’s active push in Berlin bridges directly to its industrial moves earlier this week. Just days ago, the robotics giant partnered with Tier 1 automotive supplier Minth Group to open Europe’s first humanoid mass-production line in Šabac, Serbia, an initiative planned to scale toward an annual capacity of 20,000 units at a future industrial park in Inđija.

By establishing assembly lines in Eastern Europe while securing regulatory approvals and retail distribution channels in Western Europe, AGIBOT is executing an end-to-end regional strategy. Producing hardware locally hedges against potential supply chain and regulatory friction, while partnerships with players like TÜV Rheinland and Tekpoint lower the commercial friction of deploying machines on the ground.

The challenge now shifts to execution. Demonstrating multi-robot coordination under the bright lights of an expo hall is one thing; proving that these machines can autonomously navigate active European retail floors and manufacturing corridors with minimal human intervention is the test that will define AGIBOT’s overseas expansion.
