Nvidia Has Discussed Another $1 Billion Investment in Figure, The Information Reports
One tap, and our reporting appears more often in your Google Top Stories. It makes a real difference to a small newsroom.

Nvidia has discussed investing another $1 billion in Figure AI, according to The Information, potentially expanding its financial backing of the humanoid developer as Figure pursues large-scale compute and training-data projects.
- The Information reports that Nvidia has discussed another $1 billion investment in Figure, citing a person familiar with the matter.
- Figure is reportedly seeking financing at a valuation of around $38 billion before the new money. The report does not establish that a deal has been agreed.
- The discussions come after Figure announced a multibillion-dollar Nscale compute agreement and launched Index to collect human video for robot training.

The October 7 report, by Valida Pau and Phoebe Liu, says Figure is trying to raise additional financing at roughly a $38 billion pre-money valuation. It does not say anything about a closing date or establish final terms for Nvidia’s potential investment.
Nvidia is already a Figure investor. In September 2025, Figure announced more than $1 billion in committed Series C capital, with Nvidia among the backers, at a $39 billion post-money valuation. That figure includes the new capital, so it is not directly comparable with the pre-money valuation mentioned in this reporting.
In an August 6 post, Figure CEO Brett Adcock described Nvidia as a close partner and shared a photograph with Jensen Huang. The earlier post provides background on their relationship; it does not confirm the investment now being reported.

The financing discussions follow two substantial initiatives Humanoids Daily have covered previously: Figure’s compute agreement with Nscale and its Index video-data platform.
Under the Nscale agreement, announced in September, Figure made an initial $3.5 billion compute commitment, with an intention to scale beyond $6 billion. The plan covers access to as many as 100,000 Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs, with initial deployment scheduled for the later half of 2027 in Barstow, Texas. Nscale also announced an equity investment in Figure without disclosing its size.
Index addresses another part of Figure’s training pipeline: human activity data. The platform pays contributors to record first-person video of everyday physical tasks using smartphones, helping supply training material for Figure’s Helix models.
Those plans provide context for Figure’s fundraising ambitions, but The Information’s report does not specify how a new Nvidia investment would be allocated. For now, the news is a reported discussion—not a completed funding round.
