Figure’s HQ Is Crawling With Figure 03 Robots. What Are They All Doing?
One tap, and our reporting appears more often in your Google Top Stories. It makes a real difference to a small newsroom.

Figure's headquarters appears to have a new population problem. In two videos posted on Friday and Saturday, Figure founder and CEO Brett Adcock walks through the company's campus while dozens of Figure 03 humanoids stand around on the lawn, wander the paths outside, and loiter in the lobby next to employees getting their coffee.
- Adcock posted two roughly 90-second videos showing dozens of Figure 03 robots walking and standing around Figure's headquarters, indoors and out.
- In the spring, he said his goal was to have more robots than humans walking the halls of the roughly 500-person company. The new clips suggest Figure is getting close.
- Figure built its 1,000th Figure 03 in July, but has disclosed only a handful of customer deployments, including BMW and Catalyst Brands.
- Almost none of the robots in the videos are doing a task, and Figure has not said how many of its robots do paid work.

"One day the entire world will look like this," Adcock wrote on November 6, above an 86-second vertical clip that starts at the Figure sign by the front entrance, passes through the main hall and comes out on the other side of the building, where the lawn is dotted with robots. By Saturday the post had passed 320,000 views.
The second video, posted on November 7 with the caption "F.03 humanoid robots," covers the same ground in the opposite direction. It starts on the lawn, heads inside past the café and the metal racks in the main hall, and ends back out at the front door, where a few more robots are waiting by the bike racks.
Some of the robots wear the white suits from Figure 03's launch, others a grey knit version. A few stand on the black floor pads near the entrance and the planters, the type of dock Figure 03 uses for wireless charging through its feet. Employees carry laptops and coffee cups past them without looking up.

Read recent issuesWe asked Adcock under one of the posts whether Figure does a headcount at the end of the day. With this many robots spread across a lawn, a parking lot and two entrances, someone presumably has to make sure they all come back inside.
More robots than people
The scene is something Adcock has been aiming for. During a campus tour in the spring, he said Figure had roughly 500 employees and was building its internal fleet to "a few hundred" robots. His stated goal was for the headquarters to have more humanoids than humans walking the halls, so the hardware is tested in the same messy spaces people use.
Judging by the new clips, that goal is within reach, if it has not already been met. There are robots outside, robots in the hall, robots next to the sofas and a couple more posted on each side of the entrance like doormen.
Figure has had no trouble making them. The company said in April that BotQ, its factory, had reached a rate of one Figure 03 per hour, and in July it marked its 1,000th Figure 03 with a gold-painted robot. Earlier this week, Adcock posted a shorter clip of new units walking out of BotQ and across campus. Figure has not given a production total since July.

The question the videos leave open
The more serious point is what all of these robots are for. Almost none of the ones in the videos are doing anything other than walking or standing. That is not a criticism of the clips, which are meant to show off the fleet, but it does put a number Figure rarely talks about in the spotlight: how many of its robots are doing paid work.
Figure has named a few customers. Figure 03 returned to BMW's Spartanburg plant in June to sort parts into sequencing trolleys, and retail group Catalyst Brands signed up in May for a deployment at its distribution center in Reno, Nevada. At Figure's all-hands meeting in October, Adcock said its robots were working in three US states and that more customer details depended on approval. None of these announcements included a robot count.
The rest of the fleet has plenty to do at home. Figure uses its robots to collect data for its Helix models, to run burn-in tests, and for experiments such as the treadmill test that passed 348 miles in October and the Helix 2.5 trials in 30 rented homes. Walking around a busy campus all day is a test of its own, which is part of Adcock's argument for filling the headquarters with robots.
Figure is not the only humanoid maker whose output runs ahead of commercial work. Unitree made almost 32,000 robots in 2025, but its IPO filings show that three quarters of its humanoid revenue in the first nine months of 2025 came from research and education, and less than 5% from factories or other industrial customers. Investor Josef Chen, who toured Unitree's Hangzhou plant, found that most of those robots are still assembled by hand.
Adcock did not say how many robots were on campus when the videos were filmed. We are still waiting on that headcount.
